Extractions — Traditional & Wisdom Teeth

Tooth Extractions

Sometimes, despite your best at-home efforts, a tooth extraction is necessary. While this can feel like a failure or seem like you did something wrong, this isn’t always the case. In fact, an extraction can be crucial for not only your oral health but for your overall health, as well. Whether you need a tooth removed because of decay or external trauma, it is important to act quickly and address your needs. We will suggest an extraction if a tooth has been damaged to a point where we cannot repair it with traditional restorative measures. Additionally, we will also suggest an extraction if you have a compromised immune system and are suffering from a tooth or gum infection. Regardless of the cause, we will work closely with you and keep you fully informed of the process. Once your tooth is removed, we will also recommend an appropriate prosthetic to help fill the gap, ensuring your smile is complete and healthy.

Wisdom Teeth Extractions

In addition to traditional extractions, we also provide wisdom teeth extractions. Your wisdom teeth, also known as your third molars, typically come in between the ages of seventeen and twenty-five. There are four total: two on the top and two on the bottom. They are located in the very back of your mouth and ideally appear without incident. However, many people do have issues like overcrowding, teeth coming in at an angle, or appearing in the wrong position. Additionally, they can partially erupt, which makes them prone to bacteria and infection.

If we do identify issues with your wisdom teeth, we are able to extract them, and we do so while keeping your comfort a top priority. If you think they are coming in, please let us know and we can walk you through all the steps of the process.
